What happens during a test drive?

Pre test drive assessment

Our friendly sales team will give you a call to arrange a date for your test drive and to get some initial details.

We’ll chat to you about your current wheelchair or mobility product, your goals for your new powerchair, funding options, where you’d like to do the test drive and any specific requirements for the test drive. This will let us get the Series 5 set up to a configuration that works for you and make sure you’re getting a test drive in the environment that reflects your lifestyle.

Please note we may ask for a refundable deposit to secure your test drive slot.

On the day

On the day of your test drive we’ll send you a message or give you a quick call just to confirm we’re on our way.

Your test drive is relaxed, supportive and tailored to you, so we’ll start off by talking you through the features and how to use the chair, before letting you try it out. This could be inside your home, at your workplace, on a local beach, in the park or local town centre. This ensures you’re trying the chair in a way that reflects how you would actually use it.

If you would like to have a family member, friend or healthcare professional at your test drive, then we are more than happy to accommodate this.

After your test drive

Once you’ve completed your test drive, we’re here to help with any further questions.

We can provide you with a customised quote for your Series 5, support your occupational or case manager with any assessment/ report requirements and help you to explore funding options.

If you decide to order your Series 5, our sales team will confirm this for you.

Support With Occupational Therapy Assessments

If you already have an OT, we’re very happy to work alongside them and provide any technical information or support they need.

We have a dedicated hub on our website for occupational therapists with lots of handy information and a clinical justification download, to support with any reports, assessments or applications.

Yes, we encourage you to have anyone involved in your care or decision-making to be there. This could be a family member, friend or healthcare professional.

If you’re test drive has gone well and you’re interested in purchasing, you will be provided with a customised quote that has any features or accessories discussed at your test drive. We’ll then require a deposit to confirm your order.
